How many Orbz balloons do you need for a helium filled Orbz balloon ceiling?
To calculate how many Helium Filled Orbz Balloons you need to fill a ceiling in a room you first need to know the width and the length of the room.
If the length of the room is 10m and the width is 5m, by multiplying these figures together we get the size of the room in Meters Squared i.e. 10m x 5m = 50m2.
Bubblegum Balloons recommends a quantity of 5 inflated helium filled ceiling balloons per 1m2 to achieve a full dense covering of balloons.
So to calculate how many floating helium ceiling balloons we need for a room that is 50m2 we multiply 5 (the recommend number of helium floating balloons for a dense full look) by the number of meters squared i.e. 5 x 50 = 250 balloons.
For a more scattered helium balloon ceiling we would recommend a quantity of 1 balloons per meter squared.
To calculate how many balloons you need for a scattered helium filled floating balloon ceiling in a room that is 50m2 we multiply 1 (the recommend number of helium floating balloons for a scattered look) by the number of meters squared i.e. 1 x 50 = 50 balloons.
Will Helium Filled Orbz Balloons work on the Ceiling at My Venue?
Helium filled Orbz balloons floating on the ceiling will work in any space as long as the ceiling is high enough – we would suggest a minimum height of 2.8m + to allow space for the balloon (40cm) and ribbon (30cm).
Can I Make My Own Helium filled floating balloon ceiling?
Yes, in short you can 100% create your own helium filled balloon ceiling!
You will need;
Helium canister – available on Amazon starting from £32.99 and fills upto 10 Orbz Balloons.
Satin Ribbon – available on Amazon starting from £2.50 for a roll
Balloons – There are a number of options including Party Delights where the Orbz Balloons start from £5.99 per Balloon.
And time to inflate them – we would suggest allowing a couple of hours to inflate 10 if you don’t have experience of inflating balloons. This is 12 mins per balloon.
Top tip – if you inflate your own Orbz balloons they will last for a couple of weeks. We recommend using tape to seal the neck of the balloon to ensure they look perfectly round! We are sticklers for the detail!
Floating Orbz Helium Ceiling Balloons Problems;
What do you do if a Balloon Escapes to a High Ceiling?
In the unlikely event that a helium balloon escapes to a high ceiling? Never fear we have a nifty trick of balloon fishing to bring any escaped balloons down.
We will ensure the installation is perfect when we leave but if this happens when you are taking the balloons down just call us and we will pop back and help or we can talk you through what to do!
What do you do if my Venue says I am not allowed Helium Balloons?
Firstly it would be good to find out why. In our experience venues often have this rule to ensure they do not have escaped balloons languishing on the ceiling long after the event is over.
If this is the case then see the problem noted above – we will ensure that no balloons are left on the ceiling!
Another common misconception is that helium is flammable. Helium is a benign gas that is non-flammable.
